CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations! You are one of the 1,000 people to ride in the inaugural
Seattle Century and you helped raise thousands of dollars for the
beneficiaries: Bike Works and the Bicycle Alliance of Washington. THANK
YOU!
We hope that you enjoyed the route, the rest stops, and the finish line
celebration. We are already planning for next year and have some great ideas
on how to improve the overall experience. But your feedback is the most
important. We want to hear your criticisms, good and bad, so that we can
make the best event possible.
We heard from some of you that the course markings were difficult to find
and we intend to make significant improvements in that area. There were
also some "disconnections" between the ride guides and the courses that will
be corrected. We have also received some great suggestions for improving our routes.
Some loved the chicken, some questioned it. Cutting out
Cougar Mountain was generally applauded and the finish line meal received universal raves. Historically, this weekend is the driest of the year but we saw a curveball in the morning with some chilly mist. Fortunately, it turned into a beautiful afternoon.
We had great support from Bike Works, REI, Gregg's Cycles and over 100
hard working volunteers. Our goal is for you to ride, talk with your friends (new and
old), enjoy the gorgeous scenery, explore Seattle, eat well, and have a
great time.
Thanks for riding and for sharing your stories with us. We hope to see you
again next year.

They are dedicated to producing healthy snacks using local ingredients in order to provide new markets for our region's fruit farmers. Look for their bars in your local health food stores. |
